The Management of the School/College/Institute reserves its right to take suitable disciplinary action against the student(s)/Hosteller(s) found guilty of violating the aforesaid rules and regulations or committing other offences of serious nature for which the Principal and Director of the School/College/Institute are duly empowered, and the decision/action taken by them in such matters shall be final and binding upon such student(s)/Hosteller(s). In exercise of the powers conferred on them by the management they may take following penal action, against the guilty student(s) Hosteller(s)- 1. Imposition of fine. 2. Suspension for a specified period depending upon the gravity of the offence/guilt. 3. Debarring from taking examinations conducted by the U.P. State Medical Faculty, Lucknow and or A.B.V.M University, Lucknow for a period of one or more than one year. 4. Expulsion from the School/College/Institute/Hostel.

  • The VCON Hostel provides accommodation exclusively for its registered students. Oversight of the hostel falls under the jurisdiction of the Dean/Vice Principal and is directly managed by the Chief Warden and Residential Wardens. These authorities have the discretion to enforce rules and regulations, and their decisions are deemed final.
  • Separate accommodations are provided for male and female students. Admittance to the hostels is at the discretion of the College and Hostel administration. Enrollment in the college does not guarantee automatic hostel admission. Hostel admission can be declined without providing specific reasons. Students seeking hostel accommodation must submit a formal application after being admitted to the college, accompanied by the required fee. Prior to admission, each student and their parents are required to submit a written undertaking affirming adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
  • Residence in the hostel does not guarantee accommodation for the subsequent academic year. Students are typically not permitted to extend their stay beyond a specified period from the date of college enrollment. The Hostel office operates during regular working hours on all working days. Any concerns or complaints should be submitted in writing to the Warden for appropriate action.
  • Students must obtain prior permission from the Dean/Chief Warden before vacating the hostel. Approval for departure should be requested through a formal letter submitted to the Dean. Students may leave the hostel only after obtaining approval from the authorities, settling outstanding dues, and fulfilling other prescribed formalities. If a student applies to vacate the hostel within six months of admission without a valid reason, they will forfeit the entire caution deposit.
  1. Hosteller shall be responsible to maintain healthy atmosphere and cleanliness in and around the Hostel during their stay.
  2. Hostellers are required not to gather in the verandah/courtyard of the Hostel and indulge in unnecessary arguments with each other using foul language. They are required to maintain decorum of the Institute in and outside the Hostel as well as the School/College/Institute at all times. Violation of rules shall invite penal action.
  3. As per the ruling of Hon’ble Supreme Court, ragging in and outside the campus is strictly prohibited.
  4. Any verbal comment or physical act derogatory to the honour of female students/teachers shall attract serve penal action. 
  5. The hostellers who desire to go home during the working days will take written permission from the principal on the recommendation of HOD of the respective department and approval from the hostel warden before leaving the hostel.
  6. The hostellers are not allowed to stay outside the hostel premises between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. without the written permission or “out pass” of hostel warden.
  7. The hostellers will not leave the hostel without permission of the hostel warden in writing or issue of the “out pass.”
  8. Only Registered Visitors are allowed on Sundays and holidays between 09:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. with the permission of the hostel warden.
  9. Males are not allowed to enter the girls’ hostel beyond the visitor’s room.
  10. All the visitors will make their entry in the gate entry register.
  11. The hostellers shall observe the prescribed meals-timings. No meal will be served after the scheduled time. Time schedule will be fixed by the hostel warden.
  12. All hostellers will take their meals in the dining room / hall only.
  13. All hostellers will maintain proper decorum in the hostel.
  14. Students are not supposed to bring with them Tape Recorder, a Transistor Radio, VCP/VCR or VCD/DVD to view films etc.
  15. Hostellers are not allowed to use electrical appliances like room heater, cooking heater, water heating rods, Electric Iron etc. in their respective rooms or elsewhere. Defaulters will be fined Rs. 500/- per item each time. However judicious use of electricity is obligatory.
  16. The Hostlers are allowed to have outing permission only on Second and Fourth Sunday of every Month.
  17. The Hostlers are supposed to get night out permission only on Fourth Sunday of every Month.
  18. The hostellers shall be penalized as per rules for damaging hostel property and committing offence.   
  19. All lights and fans must be switched off before leaving the room, failing which a fine will be imposed on the erring students for each item found to be on while the room is locked.
  20. The following are strictly prohibited in the hostel premises:
  21.      a. The possession or use of alcohol in the hostel premises.
         b. The possession or use of addictive or hallucinogenic drugs.
         c. Gambling, quarrelling and creating disturbance.
         d. The possession or use of firearms or any lethal weapon.
         e. Loitering around, especially under the influence of alcohol/ other intoxicants.
  22. Any student found in possession of or having alcohol or any kind of narcotic/intoxicating drug will be expelled from the institute.
  23. Recovery of any lethal weapon or firearm in the possession of student shall invite expulsion from the institute.
  24. Hosteller(s) should not keep valuable articles in their rooms.
  25. Hosteller(s) will wear presentable dress and uniform.
  26. Hosteller(s) will co-operate to keep campus neat, clean and green.
  27. The hostellers will not enter restricted areas in the campus.
  28. Visiting hours: - Visiting hours for registered relatives: - between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Only on Sunday & Holidays)
  29. No hosteller shall keep any unauthorized person (male / female) in the room. The violator of this rule will be liable for disciplinary action.
  30. No hosteller shall be allowed to shift furniture from one room to another room.
  31. The inmates are responsible for cleanliness and good upkeep of rooms. The rooms may be inspected by the principal/faculty members/warden any day /any time, surprisingly.
  32. Any damage to the room or furniture should be reported to warden immediately.
  33. Visiting the hostel during class / study period is punishable.
  34. The main gate of the hostel will be locked at 9 p.m. All hostellers must be present in their rooms for attendance to be taken by warden after 9:15 p.m.
  35. Mess is compulsory for all hostellers.
